Blue Velvet Cake

Cake:
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp natural cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup + 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
2 eggs
¾ cup sour cream
1 ½ tsp vanilla
½ tsp vinegar
½ cup buttermilk
1 Tbsp blue food coloring
½ tsp violet food coloring
Cream Cheese Frosting:
10 Tbsp unsalted butter, room temp
10 oz cream cheese
1 ½ tsp vanilla
¼ tsp almond extract
5 cups powdered sugar
Fresh blueberries for layering and decoration.
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Prep four 6-inch round pans with parchment and nonstick spray.
Whisk dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, sour cream, vanilla, and vinegar. Mix in dry ingredients and colored buttermilk.
Bake 25-27 mins. Cool completely.
For frosting, beat butter, cream cheese, and extracts until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar.
